The pomegranate, also called “the apple of paradise”, is said to be a symbol for a long and healthy life.
Each bottle of Dr. Jacob’s pomegranate elixir contains the juice and pulp of over 50 sun-ripened pomegranates – freshly pressed, gently concentrated at low temperature and enriched with bioactive, live fermented pomegranate antioxidants. The special antioxidant phytochemicals in pomegranate juices are called polyphenols.

Dr. Jacob’s pomegranate elixir (1) is 23 x more concentrated in antioxidant polyphenols than juice from concentrate (2) and 36 x more concentrated than fresh pomegranate juice (2) .

A high quality is ensured by regular tests of polyphenolic content, antioxidant capacity as well as very stringent residue checks for pesticides. Therefore the Öko-Control certificate was awarded.

Jacob (Ph.D./M.D.). Due to its gentle production and the natural fermentation processes Dr. Jacob’s pomegranate elixir (500 mmol/l TEAC) has 80 times more antioxidative capacity (TEAC) than red wine/green tea (3) and 25 times more antioxidative capacity than pomegranate juice respectively (3).

A high quality is maintained by regular tests of the polyphenol content and antioxidant capacity with very stringent residue checks for pesticides, resulting in the award of the Öko-Control certificate. The product is not yet certified as organic, but contrary to certified organic products where a lot of adulteration takes place, each raw material batch is checked for pesticides. In 5 years no pesticides were detected, and if so, it was below the limit for certified organic products, (compared to juice strength).
